Anna is attending the Case Western Reserve University School of Graduate Studies program to earn her Master's degree in Art Education and teacher's licensure. She will complete an extensive 2 year program and will graduate in May 2010. Read about her experience here in her blog entry.

This mixed media painting was presented to Jawole the evening before "The Scales of Memory" dance performance featuring the Urban Bush Women and Compaigne Jant-Bi of Senegal was premiered at the Ohio Theater in Cleveland on March 1, 2008

Anna Arnold with "Angel On My Shoulder", the collaborative painting with children who were patients from University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic, at the 2006 American Cancer Benefit and Auction, Wolstein Center, Cleveland, Ohio. The second photo is of "Paradise", considered one of Anna's most widely known and vivid works.

Anna Arnold is a native Clevelander. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1983 and has exhibited in nearly 200 solo and group art exhibits throughout the United States and has taught hundreds of school children as a visiting artist. Anna is widely known for her vividly colorful expressive portraits, ceramics, masks, beads and painted furniture.

Highlights of Anna’s exhibitions are the Cleveland Museum of Art, Akron Art Museum, South Bend Regional Art Museum, Indiana, Center for Art and Religion, Washington, DC., Progressive Corp., Cleveland, Promega Corp. Gallery, Madison, WI., Western Reserve Historical Society and Wasmer Gallery at Ursuline College, Pepper Pike, OH,.

Her works are in the permanent collections of Progressive Corp., Kaiser Permanente, Metro Health Hospital, Ursuline College, the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and the Cleveland Public Library. Noted commissions are "Angel On My Shoulder" (see above) for the 2006 American Cancer Society's Cattle Barron's Ball Live Auction created with children from the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals, 2006 Martin Luther King Jr. Service to the Field Award, 2006 portrait of Garth Fagan, choreographer of the "Lion King" presented by DanceCleveland and the stunning mixed media stained glass and mosaic tile Globe for the Historic Cleveland Public Library in downtown and GuitarMania.

June 5, 2008---Who's more vibrant?! Anna with "The Fabulous Rat Dragon" at the unveiling reception of the Year of the Rat at the Wooltex Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. Anna's fiberglass rat was sponsored by Ozanne Construction. The annual public art sculpture project celebrates a different animal each Chinese New Year and is sponsored by the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation, Cleveland

Anna Arnold received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1983. She continues to be a prolific artist who has produced hundreds of paintings, sculptures, ceramics and jewelry for nearly 25 years and has exhibited in over 200 galleries, museums and venues across the United States.

1998 - "GLOBE", Historic Main Library, Cleveland, (Anna Arnold, George Bowes, Lyneise Williams and a team of artists created a gigantic stationary globe built from fiberglass and covered in stained glass mosaic and ceramic tiles made by 200 children working at 10 Cleveland branch libraries in 1996. The GLOBE is on the 4TH floor where the Children and Foreign Literature departments are located. The GLOBE was unveiled during the rededication of the Main Library on May 21, 1999.
