Anna Arnold & Lance Vernon Collaborations 2005-2008

Continuing the collaborations. Anna adding touches while Lance checks out a drawing from above. Both artists are art school trained. Lance is influenced by the improvisation of jazz and guided more by spontaneity while Anna seems to question and contemplate the meaning of every line, color and shape. "Why?" she asks and Lance answers, "Why not?"

"The Location of Truth: Comedy Central; A Comment on the Veracity of Fox News" is a larger and more complex piece created with oil pastels and oil paint sticks on mat board in May 2007. Lance came up with the intriguing title that is open for discussion and interpretation. This bold and vibrant work is featured in week 32 in the 52 Weeks 52 Works 2008 Desk Calender from Academy Graphic Communication, Inc. in Cleveland.
The Gift"Man in the Moon" 2008

It all started with a sketchbook Lance gave Anna as a Christmas gift in December 2005. These are pages from the first two books.
